Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist on activities related to Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), training, safety committee and inspections. Participate on investigations and risk assessments. Receives oversight and direction from the HSE Manager or Supervisor for the site, location or business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates, review and approves risk assessments such as: to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ergonomic, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), new chemicals, and equipment assessments.
- Organizes preventive and periodic inspections and testing of HSE related equipment.
- Proposes measures to improve working conditions, especially at the high-risk workplace.
- Prepares and conducts training courses for employees to ensure safe and healthy work practices.
- Performs tasks related to the environmental protection in the form of the following: preparation and document drafting for the waste movement, measuring emissions of pollutants in the air, updating safety data sheets, organizing employee training programs, and reporting to the competent state bodies in accordance with the law on environmental protection.
- Visits the plant according to a predefined plan and fills out a checklist with the findings.
- Performs contractor training and manages contractor database.
- Participates in incident investigations.
- Oversees HSE tracker for completion and monitors data.
- Performs other duties as directed by his/her first line manager.

Basic Qualifications:
- At least two years associate degree (other two years degree after high school) diploma in Environment, Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or science related field and 0 to 3 years of HSE experience
- Higher level of spoken and written knowledge of the English language

- Must be able to prioritize, organize tasks and work to specified deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to train
- Ability to evaluate and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE

Physical and Mental Requirements:
