West has been present in India since the 1990s. In 2004, West opened our commercial office in Hyderabad. The commercial office is located in the Central Business District and the team there serves customers throughout India. In addition to the Hyderabad facility, West has a manufacturing plant in Sri City and a Digital Technology Center in Bengaluru.West has been serving the India market since the 1990s, starting with its commercial operations. Over the years, West has continued to expand its presence in India with the establishment of the manufacturing facility in Sri City in 2014 and West’s first Digital Technology Centre (DTC) in 2019. In all, West employs over 400 people across its various locations in India.

Bengaluru Digital Technology Centre (DTC)

In 2019, West officially opened the DTC in Bengaluru. The DTC spans over 15,000 square feet and is located in the heart of Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road Technology District. This state-of-the-art business space is a global hub for our Digital and Transformation (D&T) team. The team at West appreciates and understands the important role that technology plays in our business. Our D&T team is partnering across our global business to bring the latest digital advancements to drive our business forward. The D&T team is focused on creating a consumer-grade experience for both our customers and our team members. The team is also working to use digital technologies and platforms to enhance product development and our global operations.

Bengaluru Digital Technology Centre (DTC)

In 2019, West officially opened the DTC in Bengaluru. The DTC spans over 15,000 square feet and is located in the heart of Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road Technology District. This state-of-the-art business space is a global hub for our Digital and Transformation (D&T) team. The D&T team is focused on creating a consumer-grade experience for both our customers and our team members. Hyderabad Commercial Office

West opened its first commercial office in Hyderabad back in 2004. The commercial office is conveniently located in the Central Business District and is easily accessible by the main modes of transportation in Hyderabad. The office currently houses team members from departments such as Sales and Marketing, Technical Customer Service, Sales Operations and Customer Success/Order Management serving customers across India.

Sri City Plant

The Sri City manufacturing facility was opened in 2014. This plant is approximately 15,300 square meters and manufactures various offerings from our product portfolio of seals, as well as elastomeric components and other products in response to regional market demands. The plant is ISO 9001 and 15378 certified. The Sri City facility received a Bronze “Invest in People” certification and strives to maintain a global viewpoint dedicated to supplying high quality products to clients and patients.

Giving Back at West

Since 2014, the India team has actively participated in the West Without Borders employee giving initiative. This is a global employee-led giving program that empowers team members to give back to the communities in which West operates. Over the years, the West India team has participated in numerous meaningful philanthropic activities with non-profit organisations such as:

  • Sri City Foundation
  • Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute
  • Sewa Bharathi

West’s culture of giving continues to benefit more local communities along with the opening of Digital Technology Centre. During the DTC Opening Ceremony, the Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital in Bengaluru was presented with a donation from West. The funds were used to support cancer patients who required financial assistance and who would not have been able to afford their cancer treatment without such assistance.

The India team has also been incredibly generous and active in the Annual Food Drive. Almost 20,000 pounds of food has been donated by the team since 2018 to various trusts and charitable institutions that provide food and nourishment for the underprivileged.
