Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for day to day team management and oversee the full cycle recruitment process for Europe. As a primary point of contact for our internal stakeholders, this individual will collaborate on needs assessments for our locations and advise business leaders and HR partners on hiring activity and talent acquisition initiatives, analytics and projects.  The individual will have a role in continuing to advance our capabilities and centralization of the function.  Additionally, the individual will be responsible for providing hands on support and managing requisitions when surge efforts are requested to meet hiring goals. This position can be based in Dublin or Waterford.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees full-cycle recruitment process and salaried and hourly recruitment team; leads, develops and maintains a high performing team
  • Provides innovative, scalable solutions and implementation of recruitment plans to drive our hiring to meet business objectives
  • Builds and monitors recruitment Service Level Agreement and manages stakeholder satisfaction
  • Accurately track and report recruitment activity data to support staffing metrics.
  • Accountable for taking proactive action to continuously evaluate processes, tools and technology to drive improvement and incorporate best practices
  • Collaborate with Managers and HR partners to develop a strong understanding of department culture, business strategy and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the business
  • Provide guidance and expertise advice on best practices in sourcing strategy, selection and evalution techniques and decision making to stakeholders
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs and manage requisitions to effectively source and deliver the talent necessary to achieve business outcomes
  • Contribute to the HR technology strategy focused on improving user experience on our career site, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint
  • Collaborate with Communications team to drive a consistent employer branding and positive candidate experience for West (e.g. career fairs, internships, employee referral program)
  • Build and maintain partnership with external stakeholders (recruitment/search firms, government agencies, tertiary institutions)
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Human Resources discipline
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years professional experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Previous experience directly managing and motivating a team to drive high performance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in recruiting for pharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare related industries will be highly advantageous but not mandatory
  • Capability to develop, implement, and manage a 12-month functional area business plan, including the related budget with a high level of business acumen.
  • Solid written and verbal communication abilities
  • Relationship building skills to appeal to broad audiences - managerial, direct reports, cross functional teams.
  • Excellent consultative skills and proven success developing strong, collaborative relationships across multiple departments and levels
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems and social media channels.  Proficiency with SuccessFactors is a plus.
