Job Summary: The Supply Chain Analyst gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the incoming flow of raw materials and parts to meet production requirements and on-time shipments.
  • Manages purchases for the Business Unit to efficiently plan and produce components according to customer requirements. 
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels
  • Procures and expedites materials and services.  Obtains quotes, generates and processes requisitions as applicable, and maintains related records. 
  • Plans and establishes production work schedules to meet delivery times. 
  • Initiates work and purchase orders and follows up on work in progress to ensure conformance to schedule
  • Works with the Sales Department to ensure internal production efforts meet the customer requirements.
  • Establishes relationships with the customers and suppliers in pursuit of win-win results.
  • Attends schedules or facilitates internal meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks.
  • Interfaces with vendors; establishes and encourages the on-time delivery of the specified goods and services.
  • Negotiates the purchase of raw materials and packaging goods for production; adheres to raw material quality specifications; strives to lower overall material costs.
  • Interfaces with production on a daily basis.
  • Coordinates the resolution of internal and external complaints of purchased raw material.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining appropriate materials work instructions per ISO requirements
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules. 
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • Education: College
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor’s degree –Business Degree or equivalent from four-year college or commensurate work experience
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with ISO 9000 standards and GMP’s
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
