JOB SUMMARY

 

In this role, you will collaborate with HRBPs & the HR manager to provide HR support to managers and employees across the site. Areas of responsibility include onboarding, off boarding, training, performance management, compensation, recruitment support, and benefits support. Also responsible for the adherence to and communication of local HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Organize onboarding activities for new hires as well as be a main point of contact with new hire during pre-boarding process; ensures pre-employment and new hire process is completed prior to arrival.

 

  • Support the execution of West’s university relations strategy to include on-going cultivation and relationship building with campus representatives, diversity organizations, and student organizations to build talent pipelines for entry-level roles within West.

 

  • Coordinate off-boarding activities for employees leaving West, HR data and required internal teams to properly offboard the employees.

 

  • Work in close collaborations with HRBPs, on items involving performance management, culture, engagement, recruitment & selection, onboarding, off boarding, leave of absence process, training, development and compensation and exercise lean thinking mindset to streamline processes.

 

  • Work with employees on LOA / ADA requests; coordinates with legal, HRBP, and benefits to ensure compliance and timely communication throughout the process.

 

  • Partners with appropriate functional HRBP on local administrative and data compliance requirements.

 

  • Ensure proper documentation is drafted, signed, routed for smooth and timely completion of processes (i.e. requisitions, change notices, etc.) and auditing employee data in HRIS for accuracy.Special projects and other duties as assigned based on business needs.

 

  • Support special projects in addition to day-to-day responsibilities.

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR or related field Required
  • Master's Degree in Business, HR or related field. Preferred

 

 

Work Experience

 

Minimum of 0-3 years of experience. Required Experience and knowledge of multiple HR disciplines. Preferred

 

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law.
  • Consultative, interpersonal and client orientation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information and issues in a discrete manner.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization.
  • Trustworthy, inclusive, communication and presentation to diverse and medium audiences, decision making, planning, and organizing, personal accountability and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel.
  • Able to always comply with the company’s safety and quality policies.
  • Experience with HR business systems (i.e. Ultimate, SuccessFactors, SAP HCM)
  • Experience and knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including worker’s compensation, ADA and unemployment regulations and reporting, ISO9000, FDA and cGMP requirements.

 

Licenses and Certifications

PHR or SHRM-CP Upon Hire. Preferred

Physical Requirements

Sedentary
