(Shift 2) – 5:45pm – 6am (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday)    4 on/3 off one week – 3 on/4 off the next week

Job Summary:

The position of Production Operator includes multiple tasks that ultimately provide Good Manufacturing Practices and on time delivery to the customer. The individual must be able to communicate production status, communicate problems to proper personnel and understand how it affects other aspects of the operation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspects, measures, and/or tests to verify product conformance with an understanding of critical visual and dimensional defects and determines acceptability of the parts, based on customer specifications.
  • Assures accuracy of product packaging and tractability as required, including generating labels, the correct labeling of containers, and accurate part count.
  • Performs accurate data entry as required
  • Communicates with Production leadership when product fails to meet standards
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Comply with all safety requirements including participating in all safety related activities such as safety talks, behavioral based safety observations, audits, etc.
  • Follows all applicable SOPs, GMPs, and DOIs.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Less than 3 years
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
  • Ability to work proactively and support other personnel and departments.
  • Basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance habits
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

 

Competencies/Authorities

  • Non-US only where required for certain levels

 

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.
  • Sitting and/or standing or extended periods may occur as well
  • If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues.
  • Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
  • The ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
  • Travel Requirements: None
