This role will be responsible to coordinate all Production Scheduling, Production Planning, Materials Planning, and Purchase Orders relative to multiple tooling projects of varying degrees of complexity to meet customer demands and supply chain requirements to meet the business objectives of the Upper Darby Tooling facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning & Scheduling:
• Consult with the Global Planning Manager and the local production team to coordinate workflows for mold plates, inserts, assembly, and inspection. Identify/schedule the appropriate equipment needed for cost effective and efficient use of resources.
• Identify and communicate production priorities, optimize workflows, and remove obstacles to meet order cost and delivery requirements.
• Assist in addressing production issues, setbacks, or quality control concerns as they arise.
• Maintain production schedule and determine project delivery dates.
• Report changes to project delivery dates on a weekly basis (Tool & Die meeting) and offer explanations for those changes.
• Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs and improve processes & product quality.
• Assist the production team with completing the Contract Review for specific projects.
• Ensure all job specific tooling is ready for production when needed.

Costing & Quoting
• Determine accurate costing and delivery times for needed machining/assembly processes. Compile this information and integrate into the current quoting program to improve the accuracy of quotes and delivery dates.
• Collect and analyze historical production output data, including cost, cycle times, quality, and efficiency. Perform detailed cost analysis by comparing actual costs to quoted costs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide monthly cost and timing estimates on all projects (start date, completion date, and how will the costs be allocated within that cycle time).

Procurement & Inventory
• Coordinate production needs with team members responsible for inventory/purchase order generation.
• Develop and implement a process to communicate raw material levels/needs to ensure continuous operations.

• Compile status and performance reports, submit to management in a timely manner.
• Document the receipt of production orders and project drawings.
• Document project lead times.
• Other reports as needed.
• Support lean initiatives and assist in lean activities.
• Provide guidance for Designers, Toolmakers, CNC Operators, CMM Technicians, and others in the tool fabrication and inspection process as needed.
• Utilize SolidWorks PDM Pro to maintain tooling manufacture history/issues/etc.
• Review all processes/procedures relative to available technology and generate ideas to support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment to minimize near misses and injury incidents, contribute to WPS’s permanent goal of improving safety performance, and demonstrate safety awareness both on and off the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules.
• Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience
• Comply with the company’s Safety Policy
• Comply with the company’s Quality Policy and cGMP regulations.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this job description.
• Flexibility in providing support beyond normal working hours when necessary.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong time-management and organization skills
• Ability to lead and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification
• Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
• Six-Sigma Belt

Travel Requirements:
• Limited travel requirements

Physical & Mental Requirements:
• Moderate standing, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking. Must be able to work with items weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
• Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations.
• Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve and prioritize.
• Self-motivated with the ability to make independent and sound judgments.
• Read and interpret data, information, and documents
