Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead the short and long-term supply planning activities for your assigned focused customers as well as plant assignments. The scope of this role is of significant revenue, quantity, scale, and/or complexity. The role includes Master Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Customer Relationship Management, SIOP, Capital Investment Planning, and Inventory Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage finished goods planning for medical devices for proprietary and customer owned designs
- Generate MPP (Master Production Plan) for Make-to-order items
- Lead weekly Supply Operations meeting for both plant operations and specific customers to review planning activities and shop floor performance
- Collaborate with order management and plant supply chain in managing execution of customer orders inside and outside standard lead time
- Resolve imbalances between detailed production schedule and customer demand
- Review order pipeline and compare to forecast projections. Identify and lead resolution of gaps
- Review forecast changes from prior month and adjust MPP on MTS items accordingly
- Review forecast accuracy and assess impact on service and inventory
- Identify short and long-term capacity constraints and lead constraint resolution with plant supply chain to balance demand and supply
- Recommend mid and long-term investment requirements to meet demand plan based on rigorous analysis. Provide this input to PER’s.
- Manage inventories for his/her product portfolios and/or plant assignments
- Manage excess/expired/at risk inventory reviews (bucket assignments, coordinate action items) with commercial and operations function
- Provide input and develop recommendations (data/slides) to the SIOP process for product portfolios
- Serve as single point of contact for supply planning on the introduction and execution of new product launches and technology transfers for his/her product portfolio
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain related concentrations
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in supply chain
- Experience developing master production schedules, rough cut capacity plans, and resource plans
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of APO/SNP (SAP’s Advanced Planning and Optimization tool)
- Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations for SIOP (demand and supply) related activities to senior management and leadership team
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Master’s Degree in related field
- APICS Certification
- Lean, Agile or Six Sigma expertise
- Project Management certification
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Sedentary - exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Strong excel and report development skills
