Job Summary:

In this role, you will: Initiate and implement ideas for process improvement activities that support and/or improve high quality production systems, maintaining high standards of quality and safety on all phases.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for various Process Engineering projects as assigned, allowing the achievement of maximizing output and/or minimizing cost by either the implementation of new equipment and/or methods or the improvement of existing equipment and/or methods.  Fully define projects via specifications or drawings.
  • Plan, schedule and perform project or sub-project details; follow-up on new and revised improvements to assure proper implementation.  Operate within approved time schedules and project budgets.
  • Consult and cooperate with Corporate/customer/supplier personnel as authorized and required.  Maintain effective communication and working relationships.
  • Keep supervisor advised of any unusual situation, which might impair the progress, execution or final project objective so that they may act accordingly.
  • Maintain an awareness of the “state of art” as it applies to our industry.  Take part in educational programs pertinent to process engineering/projects.
  • Instruct and train West Pharmaceutical Services personnel in the use of any special equipment that may be required after project completion.
  • Provide technical support to other plants, departments and divisions.
  • Maintain accurate project records.
  • Conduct any activities with established policies and corporate activities.
  • Protect WPS confidential information.
  • Apply complex analytical judgment to a wide variety of duties in the engineering field you practice.
  • Adhere to Company policies and follow training procedures at all times.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned based on business needs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's in Engineering or Working on a Degree and Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills: good team player and individual contributor as well Ability of authoring / revising SOI, SOP’s, and validation documents

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities (Black Belt or Green Belt)
  • Working knowledge of SPC and Minitab software
  • Knowledge of cGMP
  • Ability of authoring / revising SOI, SOP’s, and validation documents
  • Experience in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
