Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support key functional leaders to provide strategic communications counsel and support, including directing internal communication initiatives that support safety, quality, operational excellence, quality compliance, and overall employee engagement and retention.
- Support functional leaders to manage, develop content and support the execution of town hall meetings
- Partner with functional leaders to support annual focus weeks and campaigns, providing counsel and developing a communications strategy to ensure successful engagement
- Support leaders by producing and executing on communication plans around organizational changes, realignments, and other change-related initiatives.
- Mentor junior members of the Global Communications Team
- Perform other duties as needed, based on business need
- Produce compelling and relevant multi-channel stories, rooted in our company purpose, priorities and values
- Work with Communications Team in helping to build West’s reputation in the industry and as an employer of choice through the research and drafting of corporate award submissions.
- Develop presentations and other corporate materials, utilizing creative design aligned with West branding, to effectively convey key information, narrate engaging corporate stories and build stronger brand identity
- Support Communications Team in ensuring a cadence of engaging global and cross functional content on IntraWest
- Devise and execute communication strategies that effectively utilize company internal digital channels
- Work closely with Digital and Transformation and site leadership teams to support and maintain high adoption and impactful messaging through our West Alert System
- Partner with Global Comms Team to schedule and create corporate communications content on company social media channels and blog
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications (PR), Marketing Communications or Journalism required
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years Relevant communications experience with track record of increasing responsibilities required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Top tier writing skills
- Management of strategic PR and internal communications programs in partnership with integrated marketing programs
- Ability to remain focused, connected and driven in a remote working environment
- Budget management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
