Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting against budget/forecast for manufacturing plants
- Monitor manufacturing variance accounts and actively drive required adjustments on the standard cost and item set up corrections with the Cost and Inventory Accounting team.
- Provide monthly analysis for all headcount costs by business unit vs budget and forecast.
- Challenge Business Leads to drive performance through overhead monitoring v budget and cost reduction/lean initiatives, including monthly meeting with overhead budget owners to monitor and manage actuals vs forecast costs.
- Prepare PPV reconciliations for monthly accruals for customer reconciliations.
- Consolidation and transfer of forecast loads to site financial system used in the reporting and forecasting process.
- Participation in the monthly SandOP process to create a production and absorption forecast
- Creation of working capital analysis, work with plants and global supply chain to analyze and forecast inventory and understand its impact on working capital targets.
- Preparation of business cases for investments as well as ensuring proper financial planning and control of CAPEX-projects
- Lead/Participate in global/regional FPandA initiatives and other special projects/duties assigned, as necessary.
- Interdepartmental cooperation, especially with Operations, Supply Chain, Lean and Quality
- Securing the financial validation of productivity projects
- Assist the Shared Services team on Billing, Accounts Payable or other general ledger.
- Support for permanent conformity with Sarbanes-Oxley 404
- Cross-departmental collaboration, including Operations, Supply Chain, Lean, Quality, Controllership, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Accounts Payable , Treasury, Tax, and others, as necessary, ensuring accuracy and consistency of General Ledger mappings and transactional postings.
- Support the Shared Service Center on an ad hoc basis with questions in the areas of billing, AP or GL
- Participation in the Tier3 meetings of the plants
- Representation of the local Manager, FPandA Operations
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance required
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field of Finance and Controlling
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and BI Tools
- Manufacturing ERP experience and cost accounting principles
- Exceptional financial acumen including strong analytical, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting skills
- Ability to work with complex data and to identify key problems
- Very good analytical skills as well as communication and presentation skills
- Strong internal customer service focus and good interpersonal skills and the ability to present concepts and results in a concise manner
- Proactive approach and solution-oriented thinking and acting
