This is a 6-month contract position.

 

Job Summary:

In this role you will be a part of the HR team partnering the HR Manager and/or hiring managers in managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle for all non-exempt level positions in Singapore manufacturing operations.  As a subject matter expert, you will also provide expertise advice, support and analytical data on talent acquisition to both internal stakeholders. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment activities for blue collars operators and technicians through a consultative approach in resolving hiring needs.
  • Gather market information to increase West’s competitiveness with the latest compensation and benefits data.
  • Plan and forecast hiring needs through strategic alignment with the business.
  • Perform sourcing, pre-screening, selection, interview, coordinate on-site interview sessions and extending offer to candidates and coordinating for pre-employment checkups.
  • Ensure timely job postings and responses to applicants.
  • Source and participate in external recruitment events for brand awareness and conduct interview sessions.
  • Promote company brand awareness and engage with various institutions and government agencies for attracting candidates to build local core workforce.
  • Accurately track and report recruitment activity data to support HR metrics.
  • Lead and/or participate in special, global/HR related projects and perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of experience in high volume recruitment.
  • Prior recruiting experience from recruitment agency, pharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare related industries will be highly advantageous but not mandatory.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Language - Strong written and verbal proficiency in English
  • Legal – Familiar with local legislation and tripartite guidelines related to the talent acquisition process.
  • Stakeholder Management – ability to effectively prioritize and manage both internal and external stakeholders and candidates.
  • Drive for Results/Closure – strong follow up skills with a healthy sense of urgency to close positions in the most effective manner.
  • Resilience and Prioritizing - has an open mind and flexibility to adapt and refine approaches to thrive in an environment with numerous stakeholders.
  • Technology Savvy – strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, ATS and technology/portals commonly used for recruiting.
  • Creativity – Ability to think-out-of-the-box and beyond the usual channels/tactics to compete for talents in the market.
  • Able and is aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy and as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Six Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
