Job Summary
In this role, you will be the central point of contact between the HR team and the business for all HR related matters. The role will provide full spectrum HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees in the business that are aligned with corporate defined HR strategies and principles and local legislations. In addition, the incumbent will be in-charge of office and facilities management duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead as HR partner for the local leadership team and provide site HR support to the location
- Facilitate and encourage communication between local office and Regional HQ through providing translation support to team members during meetings
- Review translated documents received from translation vendor for accuracy
- Prioritize, setup and own all local employee life-cycle related processes; engage the relevant regional HR subject matter expert as needed
- Process/Upload monthly payroll through payroll vendor in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with regional recruiting team to fulfil local hiring needs effectively
- Provide guidance on HR policies and ensure that policies are up to date per local legislations
- Track and ensure that all mandatory training modules (corporate and local) are completed timely
- Liaise with HR Shared Services team to ensure data accuracy and integrity on the HRIS; manage all employee personal files and data maintenance activities
- Drive adoption and utilization of the Learning Management System
- Responsible for office and facility management related activities in areas including but not limited to:
- Coordination of travel-related logistics for visitors
- Lead and manage the EHS Specialist and Janitor in ensuring that employees have a conducive and safe environment to work in
- Stay abreast of market/industry developments that will potentially affect the HR strategies; proactively provide such market intelligence to the relevant stakeholders
- Lead and/or participate HR related projects
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in human resource management, legal or related field required
Work Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of related work experience in an MNC environment; with at least 3 years of people management experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with workplace laws, regulations, employment trends, strong understanding of labor law, collective agreements, unions and works councils.
- Work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Objective, approachable and able to interact effectively with all levels of employees both in person and virtually in a positive and respectful manner.
- Strong communication both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues and handling sensitive confidential data to meet data privacy compliance requirements.
- Experience with cases management system to record accurate and timely case updates for management information purposes.
- Producing high quality documentation including reports, letters, meeting notes, etc.
- Work with minimum of supervision.
- Ability to respond internal employee hotline and workflow concerns in partnership with the ERM and local HR leadership.
- Self-Organization, time management and prioritization.
License and Certifications
- Human Resources\SHRM-SCP preferred
Travel Requirements
5%: Up to 13 business days per year
