Job Summary:
In this role, you will have responsibility and accountability for the site Warehouse organization as part of West Pharmaceutical Services in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Management – lead the local warehouse team from all functions (logistics, production planning, material control, procurement, warehousing, imp/exp shipments).
- Collaborate with local Supply Chain on cross organization to achieve business targets.
- Manage and monitor the day2day warehouse activities ensuring business goals and KPI’s are met.
- Inventory management (raw materials and finish goods) to meet business policies and financial targets.
- Shipments and products delivery - achieve KPI’s for OTIF(R), OTIF(P), inventory turnover. Lead Time and other relevant KPI’s, periodic reporting of Supply Chain KPI’s.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve customer service, quality (COPQ), safety performance, scrap reduction or other ways to reduce manufacturing costs by using effective management (Lean).
- Provides and participates in weekly and monthly reporting and ongoing measurement of site results.
- Prepare 1 year strategic plan to ensure productions readiness for future demand..
- Plan & coordinate production activity to utilize the available production capacity as efficiently as possible.
- Constant review and evaluation of costs to promote & maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements with regards to supply chain management.
- Leading and mentoring operational excellence programs for the supply chain team.
- Ensure ongoing motivation and engagement of all employees across the key functions to ensure business continuity and ongoing product supply in a challenging change environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: 7-10 years+ experience in Supply Chain management in the medical device/pharma/plastics injection industry preferred. Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial setting required
- Ability to directly supervise up to 30 employees.
- Experience in lean manufacturing systems and costs savings programs which affect company financial and growth plans.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management.
- Pro-active approach, takes action when needed.
- Possess excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in computer use including Microsoft Office/Working experience in ERP environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Support and contribute in Lean Six Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
- Ability to operate in a high pace environment.
- Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy.
- Fluent in English Reading/ Writing/ Talking.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 3% of the time
