Job Summary:
Manage the physical location of goods within the warehouse space of an internal and external warehouse. Responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a range of goods. Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, manage people, processes, and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison with transport companies, suppliers, and internal customers.
- Coordinates flow of material through Internal and External warehouses to ensure prompt supply of materials needed to meet requirements of production.
- Manages the daily activities of Warehouse Supervisor, WH Coordinators, Logistic Coordinator, and Warehouse Material Handlers on respective shifts.
- Fully utilize and interface with SAP to ensure complete data input and output daily and identify and resolve any variance issues.
- Oversee and direct all aspects of cycle count activities
- Oversee procurement of raw materials and supplies from suppliers.
- Identifies and reviews expired materials for discarding, after review with Finance Dept. and Supply Chain Manager
- Recommends, initiates, and implements projects to continuously improve inventory flow, processes, and work environment to ensure quality levels. Assist direct reports in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Communicate with the other shifts, as required, the status of inventory flow and any other matters that might have an impact on the job.
- Manage the set-up of External Warehouse and the planning of future warehouse capacity requirements.
- Ensure established productivity targets and KPIs are met.
- Model and implement 5S behaviors and work habits in daily standard of work.
- Observe and support all safety rules and regulations as defined by site and corporate EHS policies.
- In addition, develop personal/departmental goals and objectives and provide constructive feedback regarding previous performance with each employee through an annual review.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
- 8+ years Minimum experience preferred within warehouse environment
- Experience in managing 15+ direct employees
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and make judgement calls
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
- Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy
- Must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
- Must have strong communication and active listening skills.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. continuously and up to 35 lbs. to 50 lbs. occasionally.
