Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist with the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance and alteration of Plastic Injection Machines, HVAC, Environmental monitoring system, cube/office build out and all related building systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies and resolves issues with preventive maintenance and the repairs of the building envelope, pest control, GMP facility cleaning, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, security systems as well as other related building systems working with third party vendors.
- You will Oversee, direct and/or perform maintenance service, inspection or repairs in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, welding, locks, door hardware, electrical/electronic repairs and installations
- You will be responsible for assisting other skilled trades with construction, furniture moving, maintenance, repair, and preparation/cleanup work and/or independently performing work involving routine and minor maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, fixtures, etc.
- Assists in the generation and continual improvement of facilities department operations and maintenance procedures. Solve facilities related problems in terms of age, condition, and capacity planning
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs. Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Identification of necessary equipment within the scope and requirements of the Project Expenditure Request (CEA). Author PER’s for projects as needed - Monitor and enforce project budgets and timelines
- Communicate and document corrective action necessary to avoid malfunctions, energy excess, shutdown or damage of any system. Advise supervisor of delays, problems and work assignment progress
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience
- Formal trade school, vocational training or equivalent experience and certification in one or more of the key building trades. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks proficiency (facility systems/plant layouts)
- Experience with FDA regulations in relation to Facilities, Maintenance and Equipment repair
- Knowledge of building codes, rules and regulations as well as procedures related to the position.
- Thorough knowledge of building systems (HVAC) and pneumatic controls, domestic and industrial water systems, compressed air systems, refrigeration, air conditioning compressors and controls, water systems and other related controls and systems
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of industrial plant systems including power distribution, HVAC, chilled water, and compressed air systems.
- Working knowledge of industrial controls & SAP or other CMMS systems(ladder logic/PLC programming).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work individually and within a team environment.
- Experience in plastic injection and or medical device manufacturing
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to _10__% of the time
