Job Summary

Main requirements of this role is to support the maintenance and repair of process equipment and calibrations in the operation of the plant. In addition the maintenance technician is responsible for supporting external contractors for the maintenance and repair of the operations at the plant. The role is also responsible for supporting the running and maintaining the preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines. the role is also responsible for the development of an SAP-based magazine management system and all tasks relating to energy management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance of all process equipment on site and support Facilities and Utilities where required.
Support commissioning/validation on existing and new projects.
Lead the scheduled calibrations and maintenance as per Standard Operating Instructions.
Track projects (task, activity, phase, resource loading, etc.) using project management software.
Support in the management of maintenance contracts and contractors.
Filing and archiving of Facilities and Maintenance documentation.
Work with Engineering to identify maintenance strategy for all equipment.
Ensure CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) users are fully trained and adhering to procedures.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
Work to identify opportunities for improvements.
Work with Maintenance Engineer and Quality Engineers to ensure PM program is kept up to date.
Support investigations to close deviations, change control and CAPA’s
Responsible for compiling standard specifications and procedures for each item and monitoring all existing plant to standard specifications.
Responsible to ensure minimum equipment downtime through preventative and corrective maintenance.
Respond to failed equipment or out of spec to meet production/batch release requirements.
Plan equipment downtime with production and external vendors.
Assist in developing/reviewing/updating relevant SOP and SOI for instruments and on site to global and industry standards.

Additional Responsibilities

Programar em conjunto com o superior ações corretivas e preventivas e auxiliar na execução delas.
Acompanhar os serviços de inspeção obrigatória.
Solicitar materiais de consumo, quando necessário, bem como acompanhar todo o processo de cotação e compras dos mesmos.
Realizar outras tarefas tais como: anotar consumo de combustível, água e serviços executados.
Compilar os apontamentos do livro de registro da caldeira contribuindo para a análise dos dados.
Atualizar e analisar os indicadores de performance do setor e quando necessário elaborar plano de ação com base nos dados.
Comunicar ao superior ou engenheiro responsável, qualquer anormalidade nas caldeiras.
Verificar o nível de água potável, solicitando a reposição quando necessário.
Armazenar e embalar resíduos da caldeira para posterior descarte.
Estudar e implantar melhorias no setor, tratar “não conformidades” apontadas em relatórios de auditoria.
Treinar os operadores do setor e atuar na padronização das atividades, tanto práticas quanto nos sistemas.

Education

Associate's Degree Trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical /Instrumentation and or Diploma in Engineering, Electrical/ Process/Mechanical or building services engineering. required
Bachelor's Degree Trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical /Instrumentation and or Diploma in Engineering, Electrical/ Process/Mechanical or building services engineering. preferred

Work Experience

Minimum 3 years hands on working experience preferably in a maintenance role within the pharmaceutical/medical devices/manufacturing industry. required
