Job Summary:

In this role, you will collaborate and lead activities of the cross functional teams comprising technical experts within the R&D function, as well as business unit leaders to design, execute, and launch new innovative products across West’s portfolio. You will require to demonstrate creative skills in a dynamic environment along with hands on engineering attitude. You are expected to participate in the development of multi-disciplinary products involving mechanical, electronics and software design. The position requires knowledge and experience in electronics development for mass production and high reliability, including component selection, circuit and board design and the creation of detailed schemes.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development and design of analog and digital electronics for medical devices
  • Develop electronic for supporting tools using the Medical industry standards
  • Possess deep understanding of the complete product cycle of hardware design from requirements, hardware design and documentation, design level block diagrams, power estimation, board design, simulation, component selection, Schematic design, Validation of Layout & Gerber, Test report, Risk Analysis.
  • Perform development testing and define product specs
  • Utilizes knowledge and experience to Perform all necessary scientific studies using various lab equipment
  • Performing and/or supervising testing related to new products, writing and/or approve tests reports
  • Writing protocols, tests methods and create presentations related to design activities
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Procurement of commercial off-the-shelf components
  • Interact and manage vendors concerning parts, services, or equipment they supply or propose to supply
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with the team and business to ensure collaboration and alignment within and outside of the department
  • Support validation of products
  • Support industrialization and manufacturing activities
  • Managing ECOs activities
  • Keep manager advised of all work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments. Prepare project plan, schedule, budget, and interim reports



Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering
  • 8 or more years of related work experience
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM)




Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive hands on design experience with boards that incorporate System on a Chip (SoC) like BLE, NFC or similar RF communication channels
  • Working knowledge of programing using Embedded C for various SoCs / Microcontrollers in the market
  • Working knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, etc.
  • Excellent hardware debugging skills with the aid of advanced laboratory equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high flexibility and rapid response time
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions and resolving complex problems related to general & technical aspects of the job. Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, policies and business practices to achieve results
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policies at all times
  • Must be proficient in Hebrew and English
  • Knowledge in PCB manufacturing processes and limitations
  • Experience with integrating electromechanical components
  • Experience with medical devices design is a plus
  • Experience with medical industry standards is a plus
  • Experience with verification tests
  • Experience with writing design requirements, protocols, test reports etc
