Job summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing accounts and growing new business.  The position requires a thorough understanding of both new and assigned accounts’ business objectives, products and related market activities. Team selling and involvement of West resources aligned to the appropriate customer touch points are critical to effective account management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and existing accounts through promotion of West products and services
  • Ability to uncover opportunities through strong listening and interviewing skills is key
  • Cross functional dialogue and interaction within both West and the customer
  • Working in teams to problem solve and message a potential West solution
  • Communication and coordination of account strategies with other sales teams as well as global counterparts
  • Actively work and align with Marketing, Technical Customer Support, and Specialty Sales to seed and grow the business
  • Contributes to develop the vision and strategy for the relevant customers considering a wide range of factors (internally and externally; is aware of trends in the industry that may/will impact the company in the near future)
  • Contribute to manage the price value proposition at customers as well as the contract negotiation process for supply agreements



  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years of experience in Sales roles, preferably in the Pharma / Medical Device segment
  • Excellent English and Italian Language skills
  • Proven track record of positive Sales results
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to multi-task and work under time constraints
  • Must be available to travel internationally
  • Able to work in matrix structures in a faced paced environment
