Job Summary

Perform typing, filing, copying and distribution of new documentation and changes to existing procedures for Quality Assurance Documentation System, set up and maintain effective documentation filing system.  Route validation protocols and summary reports, trending and other documents for approval in MasterControl. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Kinston site's document control program. Route procedures, protocols and other documents for approval. 
  • Publish and maintain controlled copies of documents.
  • Create laboratory notebooks and logbooks.
  • Ensure that all procedures, work instructions and forms are reviewed within a 3 year interval.
  • Review new and revised corporate procedures, ensuring any lower-level document changes are implemented into Kinston procedures where applicable.
  • Assist QA Management in day-to-day operations.
  • Perform internal audits to assess the adherence of the plant to approved and established procedures and requirements.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and implement process changes that are designed to continually improve the quality management system.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business/departmental needs.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

Education

  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience
  • Good leadership and organizational skills required.  

Work Experience

QA experience preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to comply with all quality and safety policies
  • Must observe all good housekeeping practices
  • Regular attendance is a requirement of this position
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to accurately collect and organize data
  • Must be fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office

Additional Requirements

  • Able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read and write, speak in front of groups, express and exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures
  • Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents
  • Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgments
  • Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions

None: No travel required

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
