Job Summary
The position holder will act as the primary contact for employees at our locations regarding local facility management (remedying defects to maintain cleanliness and order on the company premises). They will also instruct, supervise, and evaluate the performance of external companies in accordance with legal regulations and West-specific safety procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform minor renovations, repairs, and refurbishments.
- Function checks of cooling and heating technology, gate technology, lift systems, doorbell systems, and lighting fixtures.
- Inspect, maintain, and care for buildings and interior fittings.
- Coordination and documentation of external companies during maintenance, servicing, and repairs, as well as roof inspections.
- Inspection of all mechanical components.
- Fire protection checks such as accessibility of emergency doors and functionality of emergency lighting.
- Overseeing communal and meeting rooms, including functionality of IT installations.
- Support with office relocations.
- Gardening and landscaping, as well as maintenance of green and gray areas.
Identify potential areas for improvement and implement new ideas
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Experience
2 years of experience in Facilities maintenance, mechanical and construction background preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of machine operability and mechanical assemblies.
- Basic understand of building construction and maintenance.
- Available for overtime, self-starter, a team player and should be able to work independently.
