Job Summary:
This role of Operational Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of materials through the manufacturing process ensuring materials are issued accurately and efficiently. This role will be expected to work with operations to analyze the current business processes and determine continuous improvement initiatives to control the issuing and consumption of material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of materials issued to operations
- Coordinate the flow of materials from the warehouse to operations
- Manage Kanban levels to support operations while mitigating any space constraints and safety concerns
- Collaborate with leads and material handlers to ensure material is issued properly to work orders
- Analyze inventory storage within operations to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Support production variance analysis to determine root causes of any misses
- Support Supply Chain initiatives to consume at risk material timely and according to deviation work instructions
- Participate in cost savings / Kaizen projects as applicable to operational material consumption and transactional management
- Collaborate with operations to create or improve standard work instructions to improve processes and data integrity
- Supports plant operations outside traditional work hours while the site is running production
- Comply with the company’s safety policy at all times

- Comply with the SOPs, as per Company policy, as relevant to the position covered by this Job Description

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree Business or relevant field preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years (Assoc) Inventory control or production experience required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- KSAs
- Attain and/or maintain forklift and electric lift operator certifications
- Must also be able to tolerate industrial odors and smells on a frequent basis.
- Occasional stretching and arm extension for work related tasks/assignments
- Occasional bending and twisting as required by the job
- Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations
- Previous manufacturing work experience preferred
- Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
- Experience with SAP HANA, MES programs, Database programs
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflicts
- Ability to make independent and sound judgments
- Read and interpret data, information, and documents
- Analyze and solve problems
- Observe and interpret situations
- Work under deadlines with shifting priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability
- Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures
- Licenses and Certifications
- Forklift Certification within 30 Days required
Travel Requirements:
- 10%: Up to 26 business days per year
