Job Summary:

Responsibilities include a broad range of facilities and maintenance projects and task.  This individual will be responsible for all aspects of supporting service contracts, building automation, grounds care, contractors, environmental controls, room certification and balancing, pest control, cleaning and sanitization, energy savings, and other projects and tasks as assigned.  This individual will also be expected support the facilities/maintenance and engineering groups as required.  Responsible and accountable for adherence to procedures, quality, production, maintenance, safety, and schedules.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support site as primary back up for SR Facilities Specialist
  • Support Facilities and Maintenance and engineering groups with projects to improve the efficiency of the department
  • Support site in Pest Control program and associated vendors
  • Manage all aspects of site environmental controls, room certifications, and balancing and associated vendors and service providers under the guidance of the SR Facilities
  • Review and revise PM tasks with support from Planning Supervisor on all facility related tasks
  • Assist with troubleshooting critical equipment when called on by Maintenance Techs
  • Plan, coordinate and manage projects
  • Manage outside contractors
  • Manage overall building structure and related issues to include, but not limited to: doors and locks, lighting, windows, wiring, plumbing, etc.
  • Manage the site building automation systems and serve as primary contact for site HVAC needs
  • Maintain database of equipment diagrams and instructions
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a designated machine
  • Initiate/add necessary information to change control documentation
  • Assist with CAPA tasks
  • Assist with customers’ questions regarding materials used in certain applications and when equipment work was completed
  • Write the necessary documentation to help specify, justify, validate, and operate new and existing facilities and support equipment
  • Make recommendations to management for cost and energy savings
  • Make recommendations to management for the repair or replacement of the facilities support systems and equipment due to poor condition, cost savings or capacity issues
  • Assist in writing of protocols and perform test cases on equipment that has been moved repaired and/or modified including both on and off-site Field Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the site shutdowns
  • Have a complete knowledge of the facilities support systems, facility equipment, buildings, and work with the maintenance/engineering groups to insure the above is safe and is being maintained properly
  • All other duties as required


Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience (preferably in an industrial setting) or 5 years with electrical degree


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.


Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Lifts up to 50lbs.
  • Less than 5% travel required.
