Job Summary:
As an HR Manager, the job incumbent will act as a business partner and provide the full range of professional support and guidance covering recruitment, compensation & benefits, training and development, Health & safety, labor relations, to include union negotiations. In addition, the incumbent will act as an advisor to management and team members. The responsibility covers the manufacturing operation as well as the sales and customer service organization in Horsens. The HR Manager is part of the local Senior Leader Team (SLT) and member of the Seals Value Stream HR leadership group. The incumbent will work closely with the HR Director over of the Seals Value stream.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees performance and talent management process and programs, individual development plans and succession planning activities to support developing world class talent.
- Acts as a champion of workplace continuous improvement, including employee engagement and culture initiatives.
- Consults with and advises managers on employee relations issues such as employee disputes, terminations, harassment, disciplinary action, policy interpretation, advising management on personal and policy matters.
- Identifies and develops recruiting strategies to attract competent individuals, reduce hiring cost and turnover. Facilitates and manages internal job postings, opportunities for promotion, new employee orientation.
- Develops and administers policies and procedures in a consistent manner, which comply with applicable laws and regulations. Advises and mediates regarding policy interpretation to managers and employees. Recommends revisions and/or new policies as necessary.
- Facilitates new employee onboarding program and recommends revisions to the program as necessary.
- Prepares documentation and participates in litigation matters.
- Manages and recommends job classification, ratings, pay grades.
- Develops and administers special programs and projects to include employee awards, pay equity, health and morale. These may include recognition and award programs, events, safety and health fairs, fundraising campaigns, and other activities.
- Leads and influences change management, HR leadership, record management, turnover management.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations. Coordinates and supports audits and reviews for compliance to training, record keeping, documentation and other HR related regulations. This also includes Data proction/GDPR
- Assesses and develops training programs and acts as a facilitator in delivering effective employee development programs.
- Manage the administration of payroll, training, HR systems and benefits programs.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field from an accredited university.
- Experience: 8-10 years of human resources generalist experience
- Proven experience facilitating training and development programs
- Knowledge of applicable laws that apply to HR
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and respond timely to changing requirements, and to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- 1-3 years of supervisor/management experience may be required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Experience with HR business systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and MS Office applications
- Experience in culture and engagement initiatives and solutions (i.e. Gallup, Kenexa, IIP, Best Places to Work)
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policies at all times
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, locally and internationally
