Job Summary

The role requires basic knowledge to participate in design, build, test and deploy effective testing solutions. To fulfill this role, the Support and Testing consultant applies appropriate technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the Testing and Support organization. This level role provides the opportunity for exposure to fundamental of software Automation testing principles and concepts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • With guidance will work on SAP Manual Testing, Functional and Regression Test Automation.
  • Assist in product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements.
  • Test all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, Regression and service.
  • Assist Design and development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management.
  • Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
  • Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
  • Record test results, report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
  • Analyze performance test requirements and develop test plans.
  • Handle performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.
  • Answer technical issues to resolve and follow up.

Additional Responsibilities

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields like engineering, design, etc. from Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent. required or
  • Master's Degree in related fields like engineering, design, etc. from Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent. required

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possesses exposure to or education in the following:
  • An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage customer expectations regarding estimated response times for issue resolution.
  • Resolving the issues through Phone, chat, and email communication channels.
  • Meet SLAs like response and resolution times with help of Functional and Technical team
  • Collaborate with Functional and Technical Support team members to properly manage customer inquiries and escalate when appropriate.
  • Own customer technical issues from initial report to resolution, communicating with customers regularly regarding issue status.
  • Run monitoring reports for usage, performance, and/or availability.
  • Document solutions for knowledge-base and bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the Support team.
  • Understanding of Microfocus ALM Software (Microfocus Quality Center) Testing Tools
  • Experience making data-driven decisions using analytics, A/B testing, campaign reports, and dashboards
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as an individual
  • Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • SAP Testing, SAP Test Automation and Validation is plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is plus

License and Certifications

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
