Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Planning systems/Transformation collaborates across the organization for end-to-end supply chain solutions to optimize the supply chain function across all business units and regions. In this role, you will collaborate and help develop targeted improvement plans as part of the global supply chain transformation project 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Supply Chain transformation projects working directly with the supply chain team to execute on defined scope, budget and transformation results
  • Partner with the SC Excellence function in setting of a standard Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process across all factories and distribution centers
  • Establish an objective measurement of the usefulness of the demand plan, supply plan and order fulfillment processes and make recommendations for change aligned to customer and business need.
  • Establish an inventory health metric around gross to net ratio to support corporate DOS target.
  • Establish mechanisms to achieve Key Performance Indicators to drive business results, including leading indicators which will serve as early warning signs of problem performance.
  • Work with D&T, Demand Planning and FP&A to identify and standardize around a core set of information system solutions and data analytics platforms.
  • Develop an insightful platform to develop employees in the supply chain organization
  • Lead and coordinate the matrix team at the site required to complete the assessment including technical/R&D, procurement, supply chain, capital projects, operations, safety and quality.
  • Manage teams for high performance. Helps to develop clear responsibilities and a development path for each role within the department.
  • Embed with cross-functional teams to improve, transform, integrate and sustain business processes.
  • Connect the dots along the value-chain through process redesign, measurement, orchestration and digitalization.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for change management and change adoption.
  • Provide decision support and insights for complex strategy decisions such as network & capacity utilization, customer segmentation analysis, cost-to-serve.
  • Develop analytics and scenario modelling capabilities including dimensions such as time, cost, revenue and Business impact.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Master Data teams to ensure business processes and technologies have reliable and current data
  • Drive innovation and change through awareness of industry trends that relate back to West’s use cases; incubate and test value propositions through rapid proof of concepts.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Supply Chain, Economics or Business Administration.
  • APICS Certification required - CPIM and/or CSCM and/or REFA industrial engineering and/or similar.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Education: MBA preferred.
  • Experience with ERP software and implementation --- preferably SAP.
  • Experience in planning, assessing and implementing change.
  • Strong knowledge of key supply chain processes and current best practices.
  • APICS Certification required - CPIM and/or CSCM and/or REFA industrial engineering and/or similar.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently on a global, cross-functional basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team leadership, influential, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Thrives on challenge with an ability to influence stakeholders and foster an environment of collaboration.
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry to include an understanding of the markets, demographic trends, customers, competition, and business challenges. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times


Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time, including international
