Job Summary

In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing global customer engagement by developing and executing promotional materials that emphasize the unique value of West's products and services, grounded in scientific excellence. You will integrate creative, strategic, and tactical methodologies with an analytical mindset to systematically enhance the creation, coordination, and distribution of impactful, persuasive promotional content. Additionally, you will co-lead internal business processes to align and synchronize efforts across marketing, communication, product management, and technical service priorities. Your responsibilities will also include researching and analyzing key market trends and using market intelligence reports to inform the creation and deployment of targeted marketing content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate alignment and communication between marketing, sales, product development, and customer support teams to ensure go-to-market strategies are effectively implemented. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Sales, Design) to ensure all marketing assets are aligned with brand guidelines and the product messaging strategy, effectively supporting product launch goals.
  • Develop Comprehensive Marketing Assets: Lead or assist with the creation of a suite of internal and external marketing assets, including brochures, data sheets, case studies, presentations, and FAQs, that articulate the product’s value proposition and key differentiators for product launches.
  • Launch Communication Pack Development: Develop and distribute a detailed launch communication pack for internal teams and external stakeholders, including assistance with press releases, email templates, and social media content, to ensure consistent messaging and maximum impact during the product launch phase.
  • Customer Profiling, Segmentation, and Journey: Identify and segment key customer profiles, leveraging data-driven insights to effectively target marketing efforts.
  • Market and Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and execute lead generation strategies utilizing marketing tactics (e.g., webinars, content marketing, targeted advertising) to support sales pipeline development.
  • Campaign Performance and Analytics: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven recommendations to optimize future efforts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement: Create and maintain sales tools, presentation decks, and training materials to ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary resources and knowledge to effectively sell the product.
  • Brand Management and Consistency: Ensure brand consistency across all marketing communications and channels.
  • Support Business Development Initiatives: Provide marketing support for business development initiatives, including the creation of tailored presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral for potential clients and partners

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Hard Sciences, Marketing, or Business
  • Master's Degree MBA in Marketing preferred 

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in product marketing, ideally in a B2B role selling technically complex products required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing
  • Experience in pharmaceutical company or life sciences industry preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Microsoft Office and CRM Proficiency: Strong proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for creating excel reports as well as managing marketing documents and reports. Experience in implementing and managing CRM campaigns to track and analyze customer interactions.
  • Creative Content Development: Skilled in developing compelling content that effectively communicates product value propositions, differentiation, and positioning throughout the lifecycle of products and services.
  • Effective Team Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination: Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve seamless integration and alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Strong Analytical and Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze market data and trends to inform strategic marketing decisions. Proficient in planning and executing multiple projects efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent Verbal Communication, Presentation Skills, and Writing Proficiency: Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various audiences through verbal, written, and visual means.
  • Ability to Leverage Technical Data for Content Generation: Utilizing technical data and insights to develop accurate and persuasive commercial content that supports product claims and enhances market positioning.
  • Knowledge of Medical Device Regulations and Industry Standards: In-depth understanding of medical device regulations, ISO standards, and current market trends related to combination products to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

  • Ethical and Compliance Awareness: Deep understanding of ethical marketing practices and commitment to maintaining compliance with all relevant advertising standards and guidelines. Ensure all marketing activities are conducted with integrity and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
