Job Summary

Responsible for driving timely and efficient execution of our committed orders via Sales, Inventory and Operations Execution (SIOE) meetings globally. Critical partner for Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery to our customers. Owner of risks and opportunities to the production plan and communicating scenario plans for critical situations which require an allocation plan or tradeoffs.  Responsible for the strategy and growth of the Global Prioritization process and ensuring the execution of critical orders to our end customers. Key Contributer to the Quarterly Financial Execution meeting including preparing KPIs and action plans to ensure financial target attainment. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Global Customer Order Prioritizations

  • Manage the process for prioritizing critical customer orders across West’s global manufacturing network in partnership with sales, supply chain, manufacturing and operations
  • Key point person for customer order escalations within the manufacturing network leading to preparation of tradeoff decisions and critical discussions with leadership on decisions needed
  • Develop and propose production strategies to fill prioritized orders by outlining internal & external outcomes, benefits, and trade-offs
  • Owner of customer escalations which require multiple scenarios from manufacturing to ensure clear tradeoff options are dimensioned out and communicated to sales, responsible for ensuring that the subsequent execution and follow up on those actions are taken
  • Share/own responsibility to negotiate prioritization trade off decisions with West sites and Sales leadership.
  • Engage in customer facing discussions regarding prioritization on an as needed basis.
  • Own and evolve the Master Prioritization workflow while incorporating feedback from cross-functional stakeholders for continuous improvement
  • Reporting weekly metrics on global prioritizations in order to set forth new business guidelines during demand and supply fluctuations
  • Business Partner for new technology developments for West Digital Order Maintenance/ Execution and Prioritization Model in partnership with West D&T
  • Execute process improvements across all global manufacturing sites as it relates to the prioritization process.
  • Continuously reviewing prioritization guidelines in accordance with market trends, internal constraints and demand fluctuations

 

Quarter End Close

  • Responsible for all Quarter End Close data analytics as it relates to risks and opportunities within the execution window- summarizing the data to report out financial target attainment
  • Lead weekly review of operational KPIs to support in the Quarter End Financial Close process 

 

SIOE, SIOP

  • Support the Director of SIOE in developing content on a weekly basis for the Global SIOE discussions
  • Leader in driving the discussions within the site SIOE meetings in order to improve OTIF and drive timely execution of order or strategize solutions for not meeting the existing plan 
  • Partner with SIOP and the longer-term planning process along with supply chain to bring the planning process to a full efficient cycle
  • drive consistency and collaboration across all cross-functional teams participating in the SIOE process to improve meeting effectiveness
  • Support SIOP, Tiered meeting discussions, DMAIC programs, etc.

 

Miscellaneous

  • Responsible for reporting weekly request and execution metrics and variances on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Direct cross-functional project teams on an as needed basis based on demand/supply changes for internal and external factors (Global pandemic, seasonal vaccinations, new legislation and tariffs, insurance impacts etc.)
  • Partner with Supply Chain Excellence in a review of lead time exceptions and customer communications

Additional Responsibilities

Education

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing
  • Experience: 10 years in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or other related business fields

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements
