In this role, you will be responsible for performing testing for both internal and external customers in a fast-paced QC/cGMP environment. Ideal candidate would be able to independently prioritize and run samples across a wide variety of chemical and instrumental techniques. Experience with compendial testing and chromatography is considered a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis using various techniques including established and experimental test methods.
- Use instrumentation both qualitatively and quantitatively to interpret and report data to plants and project managers.
- Train and certify analysts as appropriate.
- Develop and validate new methods or method improvements.
- Keep current with new analytical technology and adapt new techniques to existing methods.
- Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Prepare technical reports based on data from multiple analysts utilizing multiple analytical techniques.
- Prepare work instructions, SOPs, and qualification documentation.
- Interact with internal and external clients as needed, advocating for West testing and sampling needs.
- Willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
- Perform lab investigations, OOS, OOT, and statistical tracking as required.
- Serve as a role model for positive leadership.
- Apply required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures
- Adhere to established laboratory safety procedures for the handling of reactive and hazardous materials.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Chemistry or related technical degree
- Minimum 3-5 Years of experience in a GMP Laboratory
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- cGMP experience
- ISO and USP/EP/JP compendia
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail required
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to manage multiple samples at once
- Wet chemistry knowledge and techniques such as Pipetting, Titrations, and Extractions
- Familiarity with chromatography and spectroscopy instrumentation and associated software. Empower knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of investigational processes and data tracking
- Able to manipulate and visualize small, sharp objects
Travel Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Minimal remote work, less than 15%

- Job-related activities that require a physical activity such as standing in laboratory environment
- Use hands to manipulate, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Employee must have good color vision acuity
- Employee may be required to lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs.) without assistance
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas with employees. Must be able to make decisions quickly and speak to those decisions
- Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
- Interpret data, and provide insight on information and documents
