Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the short and long-term supply planning activities for your assigned focused suppliers and respective materials or services purchased.

 

The scope of this role is of significant spend, quantity, scale, and/or complexity. The role includes Master Production Planning, Network & Capacity Planning, Supplier Relationship Management, Inventory Management & Control, and Strategic Portfolio Management.

 

**Given the global scope, this role can be located in any West production location in Germany, Ireland, or the United States.**

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: develop and execute a comprehensive Master Production Plan (MPP) for critical raw materials or sourced services, collaborating seamlessly with global procurement, production category management, and plant supply chain teams.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: facilitate seamless alignment through Supply Review and SIOP processes, ensuring precise forecasting and optimal inventory coordination.
  • Forecast Excellence: continuously monitor and enhance forecasting accuracy, adjusting the MPP based on forecast changes and driving continuous forecasting improvements.
  • Demand-Supply Balancing: Proactively identify and resolve gaps, allocate resources effectively, and prioritize global demand to optimize efficiencies.
  • Capacity Planning: identify short and long-term capacity constraints, partnering with plant supply chain to resolve constraints and achieve balanced demand and supply.
  • Inventory Optimization: manage excess, expired, and at-risk inventory, collaborating with finance and operations to optimize inventory levels and achieve strategic inventory goals.
  • Process Improvement: identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive initiatives to boost team efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Supplier Collaboration: foster collaborative, strategic relationships with supplier-customer partners along the supply chain to ensure seamless execution of orders within and outside the firm fence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: act as a single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment across the supply chain.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain related concentrations.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in supply chain.
  • Experience developing master production schedules, rough cut capacity plans, and resource plans.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of APO/SNP (SAP’s Advanced Planning and Optimization tool).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations for SIOP (demand and supply) related activities to senior management and leadership team.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree in related fields.
  • Lean, Agile or Six Sigma a plus.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy.
  • Able to always comply with the company’s quality policy.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Sedentary Physical Requirement - Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
