Job Summary:
West is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Master Data Management Lead to join the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence team. In this role, you will be critical to the ongoing support of and continuing implementation SAP S4/HANA ERP solution and ancillary applications. The ideal candidate will be well versed in development, roll out, and management of Master Data Management methodologies. This includes but is not limited to knowledge of data processes, tools and integrations related to master data within an ERP, data cleansing/validation, mapping master data and integrations from legacy to target environments and managing master data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define global data standards for Global Supply Chain related data; and ensure adherence at a local and global level.
- Lead projects impacting master data integration, data remediation, and work with data governance to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Partners with Subject Matter Experts and functional data owners to resolve data quality issues by utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies and establishing process controls.
- Define and translate business rules into data solutions, data models, and data governance & quality solutions.
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for data domains.
- Strong understanding of how data is used to drive business/technology decisions and advise on optimal usages of data for reporting and analytics for sound decision making.
- Identify key change areas of projects that impact/leverage SAP master data to ensure optimal data usage across all business requirements and proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with functional data owners in the development and documentation of processes to ensure data integrity and quality of master data.
- Assist in the implementation of key changes to Master Data processes and applications.
- Provide cross-domain perspective and expertise for master data solutions, including SAP upgrades, data lake & cloud modeling, and data remediation & quality reporting.
- Providing guidance, templates and instructions to the Supply Chain Organization regarding the required maintenance of Master Data (e.g. guiding Plants which MRP settings to use to achieve desired outcome)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- At least 7 years of experience in master data management (preferably in SAP)
- Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
- Experience working with SAP Supply Chain Master Data modules required (eg. MM, PP, SD, APO, IBP, EWM)
- Understanding of SAP HANA database construct
- Experience with a Data Governance or Data Quality toolset
- SAP MDG experience preferred

Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- This is a sedentary, office-based role that requires the ability to sit and use a computer for most of the shift.
