Job Summary:

Responsible for all matters related to executive compensation programs, specifically in relation to supporting completion of annual proxy, administration of West equity plans and senior leader compensation programs, which include base pay, annual cash incentives, long-term equity incentives and deferred compensation. Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, the role partners with Finance, Legal and the CHRO to deliver on above responsibilities and will be involved with preparing materials for the Board’s Compensation Committee.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a member of Total Rewards, contribute to the overall strategy, design, integration, communication and execution of all elements of total remuneration
  • Lead the ongoing analysis, assessment, design, approval, delivery process and communication for all elements of Executive Committee and Non-Employee Director Compensation
  • Assume overall responsibility for equity incentives including ongoing review, evaluation and evolution ensuring the program continues to focus on business and talent management strategy and the drivers of shareholder value creation.  Develop global grant guidelines, monitor share utilization
  • Oversee all aspects of Stock Plan Administration, including employee stock purchase plan and vendor management
  • Monitor the effectiveness of executive compensation programs and assess against local markets and recommend plan revisions as needed
  • Prepare materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Proxy statement
  • Develop and lead HR and team member education regarding executive compensation
  • Liaison with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
  • Possibility of supervising analyst level role in support of these tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Executive Compensation

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in HR or overall compensation
  • Ability to achieve results in a matrixed relationship by influencing peers and non-peers alike
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to align compensation goals to the needs of the business
  • Must have effective decision-making/critical thinking skills and be creative and results-oriented
  • Strong change management experience required
  • Excellence in customer focus: Ability to collaborate, consult and partner with HR and business leaders, act with a sense of urgency and produce result
  • Demonstrated executive presence and presentation skills, both written and oral, are required
  • Demonstrated ability to support concurrent work assignments, with capability to balance and prioritize critical actions
  • Ability to apply global business acumen and mindset to solve complex business problems
  • Advanced level MS Office skills are required

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited travel required (<5% of travel time)

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas with employees
