Job Summary:

Provide analytical support for internal and external customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis using various techniques including established and experimental test methods.
  • Use instrumentation both qualitatively and quantitatively where appropriate.
  • With guidance assist in completing projects from protocol to final report. 
  • Keep current with new analytical technology.
  • Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Work with particle analysis techniques and software.
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports.
  • Assist in preparation of work instructions, SOPs, and qualification documentation.
  • Assist in lab study design and preparation in study plans and protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
  • Perform lab investigations, OOS, and OOT as required.
  • Meet individual and departmental goals as required.
  • Apply required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures.
  • Adhere to established laboratory safety procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemistry or related technical degree
  • Experience using microscopes.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 1-3 Years of experience in a GMP Laboratory
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Aseptic techniques
  • cGMP experience
  • Knowledge of particle analysis techniques such as Dynamic Image Analysis, Dynamic Light Scattering, Light Obscuration, static image analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of or experience with working in ISO compatible cleanrooms

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Must have valid identification to travel domestically and internationally.

 

 

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Job-related activities that require a physical activity such as standing in laboratory environment
  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee must have good color vision acuity.
  • Must be able to stand in cleanroom gowns for long periods of time.
  • Job-related activities that require a mental skill or ability such as communication, quick decision making, interpreting data, reading, or writing, public speaking, etc. (e.g., Must be able to express or exchange ideas with employees; Must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures)
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
  • Read and interpret data, information, and documents.
