Job Summary:

In this role the job holder will work on projects involved globally (i.e. method developments and validations, customer complaints, engineering studies and root cause investigations). This will capture the development of new testing technologies at West.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform special analyses, e.g. particle characterizations
  • Plan and execute method developments with focus on new technologies
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem solving related to spectrometry equipment for West´s laboratory network
  • Develop and execute validation protocols, e.g. equipment validations
  • Identify, investigate and resolve non-conformities and deviations
  • Prepare, review and maintain comprehensive documentation such as investigation reports, change controls, work instructions and other global documentation as required
  • Instrument responsibility in German laboratory including qualification of new lab equipment and their maintenance
  • Execution of instrument calibrations including setting out of order/release of equipment

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science preferred or equivalent
  • 5 years experience working in a GMP environment including instrument responsibilities and method development
  • Experience with SAP system is desirable
  • Excellent German and English skills in both written and oral
  • In depth knowledge of technical writing
  • Flexibility, reliability and working under pressure
  • Ability to work in global and cross functional teams
