Job Summary:

In this role you will be responsible for the smooth running of all maintenance, repair and new installation activities in the areas of production, facilities and infrastructure for the Eschweiler site. You will support and/or lead decision-making processes for new equipment and technologies in these areas, collaborate with technical partners and improve the overall performance of production and non-production equipment. In doing so, you will lead the technical teams in the areas of engineering, maintenance and facility management. In global collaboration within a matrix organization, you will be responsible for projects. You represent and are part of the Eschweiler Senior Leadership Team.

 

Your main tasks

  • Management of the Engineering, Maintenance and Facility departments for the Eschweiler plant
  • Responsibility for all processes within the engineering department and all relevant interfaces
  • Ensuring continuous operational readiness of production and all safety standards
  • Responsibility and assurance of project controlling of all approved investments (capex and opex) in new machinery and equipment as well as in buildings in terms of quality, budget and schedule
  • Creation / implementation and maintenance of an optimized "preventive maintenance" strategy (TPM)
  • Organization and supervision of contractors
  • Acceptance of new plants according to ISO, HS&E and GMP guidelines
  • Responsibility for the organization of all required documentation, compliance with laws, rules and regulations

 

Your profile

  • Diploma or Master's degree in engineering or comparable
  • Many years of professional experience in the technical field with a focus on project and maintenance planning, ideally in a pharmaceutical or GMP environment
  • Knowledge of HS&E, Lean, GMP and ISO
  • Several years of experience in leading interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as hands-on mentality
  • Problem-solving oriented action, as well as analytical and strategic thinking
