Job Summary
As a mechanic, you are primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair, and execution of servicing various equipment in the Eschweiler plant. The equipment includes, among others, internal mixers, rolling mills, vulcanization presses, stamping machines, conveyor technology, various automation systems, and washing and filling systems for the end product. Additionally, you contribute to continuously improving existing equipment, workflows, and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Rectifying and reporting process disruptions
- Executing, monitoring, and planning projects, inspections, maintenance, and (preventive) repair measures
- Commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of tools, machines, and equipment
- Creation, installation, and adjustment of replacement and new parts
- Setting up sorting systems
- Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic equipment
- Ensuring the continual availability of necessary utilities such as compressed air, steam production, process cooling, and purified water
Education
- Completed training as an industrial mechanic
Work Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the industry is desirable
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in electro-pneumatics and hydraulics
- Knowledge of TIG welding is advantageous
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous
- Good English skills are desirable
- Strong communication and ability to work in a team
- Independent work style with a strong awareness of quality and safety
