Job Summary
Our Training leads work in a fast paced and exciting environment. The candidate will develop and deliver customized learning and development interventions throughout their business unit and the organization. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the L&D function, including analysis, development, delivery, and evaluation of training as well as enabling employees to fulfil their potential within West.
The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines and ensure training needs are met. The candidate must also be strategic rather than reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within their business unit and determining what learning is needed to grow and retain these skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivering high quality internal training programs to agreed timescales via classroom facilitation or a blended learning approach.
- Design and develop high quality training material, documentation and presentations as required for Induction/ Onboarding, Health and Safety, Process & Compliance, Products, Specialized + Technical and Personal Development.
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Manager and SMEs to create and deliver training.
- Support Business interventions including technical training where required.
- Drive and influence consistency across the business around training processes and systems
- Perform effective and appropriate evaluation of all training programs delivered.
- Amend and revise programs as necessary, to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.
- Develop bespoke e-learning modules using relevant training tools.
- Maintain accurate training records for all programs.
- Maintain methods/procedures and all supporting documentation to meet the requirements of Quality Systems ISO9001/ ISO 13485 and Environmental Management Systems ISO14001.
- TNA: Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, and collaboration with front line leadership.
- Manage and update business unit competency matrix.
- Highlight training needs and requirements for the Business Unit to the Business Unit Manager.
- Facilitate the accreditation of training through internal and external route.
- Collaborate with fellow trainers and HR on planning, organizing, and directing training and development programs for employees to increase individual and organizational performance and to improve employee morale while enhancing their skills.
- Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
- Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Work Experience
- Equivalent experience in technical or business required and
- Ideally 2-3 years
- Experience with SAP systems preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of repetitive process, high tech, manufacturing – mechanical automated systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes within clean room environment, workflows, production equipment and industrial techniques.
- Must have effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong leadership and managerial skills
- Knowledge of and ability to work in appropriate computer programs and applications
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
License and Certifications
- Health Services\First Aid Certification Certification in First Aid Upon Hire preferred or
- Health Services\Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CPR Upon Hire preferred
