Job Summary
The Senior Planner will support the Supply Planning Manager in meeting all functional and corporate goals and the day-to-day supply planning process for an identified group of products within the Integrated Systems network. The main role will be to create the kitting production schedule in support of customer orders and liaise with West’s third-party distribution center to execute the schedule. The planner will be the Integrated Systems primary point of contact with the distribution center. In addition, the role will procure components as assigned to support the production schedule. They will be responsible for purchasing order release and delivery, inventory monitoring, and customer order fulfillment. The role will be responsible to coordinate cross-functionally across the network with vendors, DCs, and customer service on regular basis to execute tasks and resolves issues. The onboarding and initial training will be based in our headquarters Exton PA USA office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule external customer orders to assure on time delivery targets are achieved
- Create the master kitting and testing schedule in support of customer order promise dates
- Liaise daily/weekly with third-party distribution center coordinators to ensure inbound and outbound deliveries are executed in timely manner
- Liaise daily/weekly with third-party distribution center coordinators and quality to execute production schedule
- Prepares purchase orders/stock transfers orders for assigned products based on inventory targets and monitors progress through delivery – i.e., direct vendor materials and internally sourced components
- Reviews MRP for assigned components – new demands, inventory, planned orders
- Supports master data setup process in SAP for new materials including maintenance of accurate planning master data – i.e., lead times, MOQs, pricing, safety stock etc.
- Oversee inventory control processes with third party DC – examples cycle counting, slow moving inventory etc.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with vendors and West sister facilities
- Balances requirements planning with optimal order sizes, logistics/transportation, and warehousing space
- Communicate and escalate any delivery concerns from vendors and/or to customers as required
- Utilize SAP, Excel, and other information systems in the forecasting, planning, and purchasing of traded goods from vendors and components/ raw materials from West sites
- Review OTIF and vendor performance and support any improvement efforts
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain related concentrations required
- Master's Degree In related field preferred
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years in supply chain required
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM/SD/QM module) required
- Experience developing master production schedules and using advanced Material Requirements Planning
- Experience in pharma or other regulated industries preferred
