JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and evaluating compensation programs in North America to enhance our ability to attract, engage and retain team members while ensuring alignment with our Total Rewards philosophy, best practices, business strategies, and financial objectives. Programs include job leveling and pricing, salary survey participation, incentive plan administration, spot bonus administration, and annual compensation planning. This role reports to the Sr Mgr, Global Compensation and works closely with HR Business Partners at sites across the region as well as Talent Management and the global Total Rewards team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze, develop, and recommend job levels and salary ranges for jobs using market data. Includes survey participation and data analysis.

 

Act as the point of contact for all North America compensation issues related to base pay, incentive and recognition plans and payments for the salaried population. Problem investigation, issue resolution, and follow-up are key components.

 

Conducts internal job analysis and evaluation to ensure appropriate classification and grading of jobs and conducts external job analysis and evaluation by participating in and completing salary surveys to ensure market data is valid and useful.

 

Analyze pay practices and programs to determine market competitiveness.

 

Advises business units in job description design and provides development assistance as necessary. Reviews job descriptions to ensure completed descriptions meet legal and internal criteria.

 

Advance global job framework using internal and external data tools, such as JDXpert.

 

As part of global process, assist with the annual compensation planning process, including merit and short term incentives within the region.

 

Provides recommendations to Compensation team for new or revised policies, processes and procedures and ensures that implementation occurs timely and policies and procedures are followed consistently.

 

Collaborate with Compensation team and HR Business Partners in other regions.

 

Administer and oversee day-to-day compensation administration with varying complexity.

 

Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
