Job Summary
This role will be involved in all aspects of planning for federal, international, state and local corporate income tax strategies including research, financial modeling, compliance and reporting. The role requires communication with finance, legal, treasury and operating business partners. Working knowledge of ASC 740 is required and experience with public corporations is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist in federal, international, state and local corporate tax returns including quarterly estimated payments and tax extensions
- Prepare or assist in quarterly/annual tax provision calculations according to ASC740 reporting requirements
- Assist in developing automation enhancements to corporate income tax provision and income tax return preparation compliance process
- Assist in the implementation and expanded use of data analytics tools such as Alteryx to manage large quantities of data used in complex calculations
- Provide guidance to fixed asset accountant in order to ensure tax depreciation used in interim and annual ASC 740 reporting and for federal tax reporting purposes is correct
- Gather, organize, calculate and utilize data from multiple general ledger and accounting systems
- Assist in multiyear modeling of corporate income cash tax forecast
- Perform tax research, develop/evaluate tax planning and savings opportunities, document conclusions
- Assist in the information gathering and defense related to audits of Federal and State income taxes
- Prepare quarterly account reconciliations of income tax accounts.
- Work on special projects as assigned including MandA transactions, Repatriation Planning, among other projects, etc.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules
- Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years or equivalent experience required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Progress towards MBA or MS Taxation
- Corporate experience preferred
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required
- Effective written communication skills
- Applicable technology experience required (MS Office Suite – especially Excel, Tax Provision and Compliance Software with Onesource and working knowledge of Alteryx required,)
- Strong time management skills
