Job Summary:

 

Supports the business in the management of the technical spare parts program ensuring a functioning spares management system capable of meeting the growing demands of the facility reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with Engineering to accurately produce recommended spare and wear parts list.
  • Work with Spares Management Team inputting and updating spares on the CMMS system.
  • Loading and control of the vertical storage systems.
  • Contact vendors for quotes in coordination with Purchasing.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal customer base.
  • Work with Spares Management Team on the management of the spare parts budget.
  • Work with Spares Management Team on the ownership and reporting of spares KPI & Spares usage.
  • Arrange logistics from supplier to the customer.
  • Support customer systems where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal customer base.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Previous production work experience would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in CMMS systems would be an advantage.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Must have good verbal reasoning, numerate ability and mechanical aptitude skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of the MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
  • Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.

Travel Requirements:

 

  • No travel required.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:              

       

  • Light to medium weights - exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently constantly to move objects. Physical lifting and carrying will be involved with loads in boxes and packaging with equipment on site for heavier loads.
  • Climbing up and downstairs and between buildings often.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good decision-making skills.

 

Delegation of duties:

 

When absent from the site duties and responsibilities will be delegated to the following designates;

  • Senior Automation Engineer.
  • Lead Maintenance Technician.
  • Tool Room Manager
