Job Summary
The Senior Manager, D&T, SAP- Production planning collaborates with Production & Operations functions to define, deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions. This role will also help define strategic direction, determine business needs, design & deliver technical solutions for Production planning, and manage team members. This role has primary accountability for the delivery of Production planning with integration to Quality, including project delivery, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Possesses deep understanding of the overall vision and business needs and utilizes this knowledge to collaborate with Production, operations, and Supply Chain to define detailed business requirements for D&T enablement of business needs. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices.
- Responsible for mentoring and the performance , results of the team. Performs the day-to-day management of the assigned team, both employees and contractors, in compliance and consistent with the West values, policies and procedures
- Extensive thought leadership in setting the strategy and designing the future Manufacturing and Planning solutions in ERP with focus on sustainability, agility and adaptivity to changing business conditions.
- Drives agile and DevOps culture of implementation and product management culture in the organization
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Create and maintain project charters and plans, capital requests, budgeting and project management in accordance with the Project and Portfolio Management process and West policies and procedures.
- Uses breadth of expertise to solve complex problems. Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP-SAP S4 Hana Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.
- Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids
Education
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep expertise, understanding and knowledge of SAP – system functionality and technical understanding of SAP S4HANA Production planning, Manufacturing, Quality and related areas ( PM, MM, PP)
- Should have experience in integrating SAP S4HANA
- Solid SAP skills – system functionality and technical understanding of PP and related areas (QM, MM)
- Good knowledge on Shop floor and Manufacturing Interfaces (MES).
- Strong HANA knowledge preferred
- SAP S4 HANA knowledge required, ideally actively involved in implementation of production and Quality
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
