Job Summary:

The Software Engineer, Robotics & Automation requires in-depth knowledge and expertise to participate in the architectural design, development, and enhancement of applications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Understands the overall vision, business needs and the solution architecture.    
•    Help the lead to develop cloud-based solution with Azure PaaS, using C#, .NET Core, Node.Js, Javascript and python.
•    Work in coordination with cross-functional teams to for project needs. 
•    Deployment of solution using Azure App Services and using docker based container.
•    Developing custom docker images, publishing it to docker registry and Azure Container Registry services.
•    Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks as required.
•    Plans, develops, tests, deploys and monitors cloud-based solution in a DevOps model.
•    Help in troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.
•    Collaborates with senior roles and Architects on various prototypes, or proof of concept, to test solutions
•    Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
•    Minimum 3-5 years of experience 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•    Experience and knowledge of: 
o    Developing & managing solutions using C#, .NET Core & Python.
o    Developing applications integrating in real-time with IoT devices
o    IoT related software development background, including:
    Experience in building distributed or data intensive systems.
    Experience with device connectivity & protocols (HTTP, MQTT)
    Experience with communication encryption preferred (TLS, PKI, Digital Signature)
o    Database Knowledge: Good to have experience working with databases like Timeseries, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including database design and querying.
o    RESTful APIs: Demonstrated ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications.
o    Setting up Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) / DevOps for cloud hosted or on-prem solution.

•    Familiar with 
o    Industry 4.0 concepts and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) applications.
o    Development of validated systems in a regulated environment is a plus
o    Development of Automated Testing Scripts to support validation requirements a plus.
o    Application service monitoring and application performance

•    Preferred:  
o    Overall 2+ years of experiences with .NET, C# and Python.
o    1+ years of experiences with IoT / Edge development .

Physical and Travel Requirements
•    15% travel, including global travel
•    Occasional on-call work required
