Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, execution-focused Director– Digital Manufacturing Operations to lead the operational delivery of digital manufacturing solutions from our Bangalore office. This leader will serve as the execution backbone for digital manufacturing and digital quality initiatives, ensuring that designs and architectures developed by global teams are transformed into well-executed, validated, and timely implementations that support our global manufacturing footprint.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring project timelines are met, cross-functional dependencies are managed, support operations are streamlined, and quality and regulatory requirements are addressed with rigor. The role reports into the global D&T Digital Manufacturing leadership and works closely with solution architects, functional leads, plant operations, and quality stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execution Leadership
• Own the end-to-end execution strategy for Digital Manufacturing and Digital Quality initiatives driven out of Bangalore
• Translate global design and architecture decisions into executable project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional dependencies (e.g., PP with EWM, QM, Planning, MES, IoT) to ensure cohesive delivery
Project Delivery & Governance
• Drive on-time, on-quality, on-budget delivery of digital manufacturing projects
• Lead planning and coordination of key lifecycle events such as Pre-UAT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare
• Partner with the global design team to ensure execution readiness at all phases of the project lifecycle
Production Support & Plant Operations
• Lead the Bangalore-based support team to ensure plant-critical systems meet or exceed SLAs
• Serve as a key escalation point for production support and issue resolution
• Drive continuous improvement in incident management, communication, and support KPIs
Validation & Compliance
• Oversee execution activities for GxP-compliant systems, ensuring alignment with Computer System Validation (CSV) frameworks
• Coordinate with global Quality and business stakeholders to enforce process discipline during validation-heavy programs
Technology Adoption & Operational Excellence
• Support deployment of new technologies including SAP upgrades, MES enhancements, IoT integration, and infrastructure changes
• Build a “no surprises” execution culture with transparent reporting, routine rhythms, and proactive risk management
• Institutionalize best practices, checklists, and playbooks for operational delivery
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
Work Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in digital manufacturing execution, IT delivery, or ERP project leadership roles
- Hands-on familiarity with SAP Manufacturing (PP, QM, EWM, etc.), MES, IoT, and connectivity platforms
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing global execution programs
- Deep understanding of GxP, CSV, and regulated environments in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector
- Strong program management, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with distributed teams
