Job Summary

Join West's Engineering Team as an Intern! Dive into a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where your contributions truly matter. As a West Engineering Intern, you'll be part of exciting projects that propel our business forward. This internship offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand how they work together to optimize operations, and meet customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing engineering team, including equipment and process optimization, data analysis, problem troubleshooting and investigation, and project management. You'll work on meaningful projects aimed at improving equipment efficiency, reducing scrap, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in existing processes. This internship offers broad exposure to engineering functions and projects, ensuring you walk away with a well-rounded, impactful experience.

Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering major

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Ability to leverage Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for efficient data management, analysis, and presentation.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
Customer Focus: Committed to meeting the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
Team Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Physical Requirements

Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.

Additional Requirements

Able to comprehend mechanical drawings, computer systems and manufacturing processes.
