Job Summary

Provides maintenance of automated systems, robots, thermolators, and ancillary equipment supporting plastic injection molding machines. Completes troubleshooting and repair of previously mentioned equipment using basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Completes all documentation of maintenance per the company’s chosen computer software system as well as paper-based documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance for all assigned equipment.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all work performed.
  • Reference machine operation and maintenance manuals to perform scheduled and unscheduled periodic maintenance and/or cleaning of equipment and machines.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Identify and resolve potential safety hazards. Perform simple troubleshooting for blown fuses, circuit breakers, pressure leaks, etc.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment. Advises management on significant maintenance trends affecting the facility and proposals for improvement.
  • All interactions, workflow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a “Customer Service” approach to both internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
    Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.

Work Experience

  • 3 years required
  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times. 

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.

This position is Monday - Friday 1:30 - 9:00 PM
