Job Summary

The role requires engineering background to participate in the design, development, testing and enhancement of Computer Vision application and robotic solutions. This role requires good understanding of computer vision algorithms, Python programming as well as good understanding with PLC programming, IoT connectivity, and the integration of vision systems with robotics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing computer vision algorithms for various applications such as object detection, recognition, and tracking.
  • With guidance conduct research, learn and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Assist the team to Implement and test computer vision algorithms on various platforms including embedded systems, PCs and cloud.
  • Integrate computer vision algorithms with PLC systems for industrial automation applications.
  • Learn and Program Robots for Device Assembly and other use cases.
  • Learn to develop and implement IoT solutions for remote monitoring and control of computer vision systems.
  • Integrate computer vision systems with robotics platforms and ROS software.
  • Assist to develop and maintain documentation for computer vision algorithms, integration with PLC and IoT systems, and robotics integration.
  • Debug and troubleshoot computer vision and PLC systems, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Works closely with Leads and Architects on various prototypes, or proof of concept, to test solution. Solves routine and standard problems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics required

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 Years of relevant experience required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of computer vision algorithms and techniques, including image processing, object detection and recognition, and deep learning.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python and C++ for computer vision and machine learning applications.
  • Experience with common computer vision libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Basic Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and integration with industrial systems.
  • Good to have Knowledge of IoT (Internet of Things) technology and its applications in computer vision systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to design and implement effective computer vision solutions.

License and Certifications

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • 15% travel, including global travel
  • Occasional on-call work required
  • Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
