Job Summary
The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for oversee Automation, Processing, and Tooling functions within the site. Responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership across critical manufacturing technologies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production of high‑quality components and systems. This role oversees cross‑functional engineering teams who design, optimize, and support automated equipment, molding and processing operations, and precision tooling used throughout the facility. The manager acts as a key partner to Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain ensuring that engineering solutions align with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and long‑term technology roadmaps.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and sustain a high‑performing engineering organization by hiring strong talent, fostering retention through engagement and development, and shaping the team structure to support long‑term business needs and future growth.
- Grow and develop engineering leadership through mentorship, coaching, learning and development opportunities and by providing regular and clear performance feedback.
- Plan and execute long term strategies that move your team and the product stage(s) toward business objectives. This includes decision-making, alignment, staffing, prioritization, leading through change, and working through ambiguity.
- Understands key engineering KIPs and proactively drives improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, reliability, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Leads and drives meaningful results across multiple engineering teams whose work directly influences the broader organizational mission. This includes managing several engineering groups with engineering‑manager direct reports, overseeing complex product or program scopes, and taking ownership of business‑critical cross‑functional initiatives in parallel with day‑to‑day team leadership.
- Develop and execute process enhancements while strategically influencing leadership decisions across multiple organizational levels.
- Contributes to a strong safety culture across multiple teams by an environment where individuals feel supported and empowered to take initiative.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively through advanced thinking, partnership and foresight.
- Prepares PERs and project justification documents while maintaining the site’s capital expenditure forecast and ensuring accurate, timely reporting for all capex‑related activities.
- Develops initial project scope, timelines, savings projections, and cost estimates, while partnering closely with the commercial team to define and fulfill customer‑specific project requirements.
- Promotes and supports a Lean Manufacturing culture across the facility, continually improving processes and procedures to ensure high‑quality products are produced efficiently and at the lowest sustainable cost.
- Ensures that all established policies, rules, regulations, and standard procedures are consistently followed across teams and operations.
- Research emerging technologies and advanced methodologies to identify and implement solutions that enhance plant capabilities, efficiency, and long‑term competitiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Education: Bachelor's or Masters’s in Engineering; Plastics and Polymers, Manufacturing Automation, Machine Tool Technology or equivalent.
Work Experience
- Experience: 10+ years of job-related experience; 5+ years of senior level management; 5+ years in Project Management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, production equipment and industrial techniques.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean and 6 Sigma Manufacturing
