Job Description

In this role, you will work as part of collaborative team working to produce high-quality components used in life-saving healthcare products. You will learn new skills, and contribute to a safe, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This roles responsibilities include mixing materials by prescribed bills-of-material for all presses in operation in such a manner as to ensure full traceability of materials throughout the process. The use of Forklifts and RF guns are required for this postion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that molding materials are supplied in adequate quantity to provide for uninterrupted operation of the molding process.
Supply adequate lot verification and acceptability to satisfy Quality Assurance requirements.
Record accurate information at color changes such as return-to-stock items and transfers using the RF gun.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the work areas to minimize the possibility of contamination of raw material.
Mix special blends of materials at the request of engineering or manufacturing management as needed.
Remove all resin and concentrate from the Quarantine Area when it has been approved.
Perform PM’s on all equipment associated with Mixing in the MP2 program.
Assist in the taking of physical inventories as needed.
Preventative maintenance of tools.
Assist in the setting of tooling and applying auxiliary equipment to tooling.
Be able to operate MP2, SAP, G2, Mattec and Word programs proficiently and pull up reports for these programs as needed.
Actively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West 5S program.
Other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma Or equivalent required

Work Experience

Minimum 1 year of mixing experience is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have current or previous forklift experience
Must have good communication skills
Must have excellent attention to detail

Travel Requirements

None: No travel required

Physical Requirements

Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.

Shift

First Shift: Monday - Friday 7.30am-4pm
