Job Summary
Lead a regional site team to provide Digital and Transformation (D&T) support for shopfloor-based systems and maintain compliance. This position ensures D&T site support teams are providing services including maintenance of file, print and other application servers as well as PCs and applicable IT equipment at Manufacturing facilities. This role will work with D&T and Manufacturing management to ensure that strategy, policies, standards and operations are defined and adhered to ensure robust support of Manufacturing operations. This role will also collaborate with the D&T Global Infrastructure, Site Operations, and Service Desk teams to ensure that all IT services at Manufacturing facilities are appropriately provided. This person will be responsible for personnel management of D&T site support tech leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a regional Digital and Transformation (D&T) team to administer and support server-based end-user, shopfloor and lab applications and equipment software to ensure systems are operational.
- Strategically collaborate with groups within Digital and Transformation (infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.) and all departments across the organization to ensure global infrastructure support for computer systems.
- Work with leadership teams to plan for major key initiatives including OT connectivity, automation, compliance and digitization.
- Drive the implementation of an efficient solution for backup, archiving, and restore electronic raw data forcomputer systems.
- Mentor and develop Digital and Transformation site support team members for server-based and integrated computer system support
- Drive continuous improvement process from technology-side using best industry practices.
- Provide and organize local support for D&T systems and End-Users, including, but not limited to: Desktop computers and laptops, communication, access control/CCTV, LAN/WAN equipment (with assistance from infrastructure/cybersecurity team) and collaboration systems.
- Responsible for the updated inventory list of all computerized systems regionally.
- Ensures that new systems and software are properly integrated with existing processes and capabilities.
- Participate in rotating "on-call" support. This includes coordinating support with the software vendors as needed.
- Has an in-depth understanding of and can communicate/educate the team on the D&T related requirements to achieve and maintain cGXP and Data Integrity compliance.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules. Assist with audits from both clients and regulatory agencies.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science required
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience of IT support and / or IT operations, ideally in regulatory manufacturing environment required
